On a mission to grow the New Orleans tech startup community, Chris Reade works with his managers at Carrollton Enterprise Services, Lindsay Fox and Jeff Hanby, to build a new brand to lead this effort.

2015 January

LookFar launches with a focus on helping tech founders build and grow software companies.

2015

2015 October

LookFar produces the first Ada Lovelace Awards ceremony to celebrate women in the New Orleans tech community, and awards the Woman of the Year in NOLATech.

2016

2016 January

LookFar publishes the first Southern Startup Report to provide a centralized source of information about startup activity across the Southeast.

2016 March

LookFar Ventures, LLC, is formed to officially launch our investment arm.

2017

2017 October

In its 3rd year, the Ada Lovelace Awards expands to include women in tech from 6 states across the Gulf South and introduces categories to present 4 awards.

2018

2018 August

LookFar Labs launches with the sale of the software services side of the LookFar brand to Jeff Hanby and Chris Homberg.

2019

2019 August

Club Discovery opens on the cusp of the Bywater neighborhood, following a major renovation of a historic building, resulting
in a unique 10,500-square-foot
co-working space.

In its 5th year, the Ada Lovelace Awards becomes a 501(c)(3) in an effort to put more resources behind the organization to achieve a greater impact.
